September 2nd, 2018: Chicken feet don't taste that great

This week was amazing!!

First off, we got two new investigators who are so prepared! One has a husband who is a member and she has been attending church for a long time while she was living in America and now that her and her family have moved back to Cambodia, she wants to actually learn about the doctrine of our church and possibly wants to be baptized if its the right church for her. She is amazing!! The second is the cousin of one of our other amazing investigators, who has been Christian for a long time but really wants to find out which one has all the truth. It is so cool to see how much God is preparing the people that are put in our path!!

We were invited to eat dinner at the house of a family in the international branch, and it was the weirdest feeling ever. that morning we had been visiting a sick woman in our branch and in her house we sat on her little wooden table that is also her bed, and a huge rat the size of a cat ran across the floor, and a spider the size of my hand crawled on the wall. A few hours later we walked into the nicest house i have seen in a REALLY long time and it threw me off for a long while. i even felt like i was too dirty to sit on their nice feather couches. the kids were playing their xbox and the little girls were riding around the house in their heelies, and i felt like i had entered into a different world. It made me reflect a lot on how blessed I am but also, how blessed the khmer people are as well. we have all the things that we could ever need or want in America, but the Khmer people are struggling have enough money to even buy rice. One thing i do envy about them is their humility and faith in God and His plan for them. Even though they have nothing, they completely and wholeheartedly really on their Savior Jesus Christ to help them in their struggles and difficulties. I hope that I can be humble like them one day. They are such amazing examples to me.
I was also asked to play for the piano for the primary program in my branch and i dont know how to play the piano, so everyone pray for me!!

Love you all and hope you have an amazing week!!!!
