August 13th, 2017 Rainy season is starting

It's been another super eventful week in Cambodia! To start off, my bowels have graciously been cured thanks to everyone's prayers and a lot of pepto!! The only thing that happened was I puked my guts out last night. It was basically all just rice so that's fun. That's when you know you live in Asia!

Our investigators are seriously so amazing. Neary was baptized yesterday and given the Holy Ghost! The bishop showed up an hour late (typical Cambodia) so we were cutting it pretty close with sacrament but it was an amazing service. She has so much faith and was shining the whole day! We also have five other investigators that have baptismal dates and so many more that will probably have one in the coming weeks. The work is progressing here so much and it is just a huge testimony builder to me that God prepares the hearts of the people who are ready to hear the Gospel!! I love being a missionary!

On Friday night we made it home at exactly 7:30 and the rain started to pour SO HARD. I have never seen so much rain in my life and it was amazing. Sister Luke and I were on our balcony eating banana bread and listening to Josh Groban sing in Italian when we decided we need to live a little. We went onto the roof and danced in the rain for half an hour. It was so flooded we were able to run and do belly slides and be completely covered in water. It was seriously so much fun!! I wish I could send the videos but the files are too big. You will just have to deal with some blurry dark pictures!

I am seriously loving Cambodia more and more every single day. the people are so humble yet will give you the shirt off their back, literally. We have to be careful of what we compliment because the Viet sisters said they liked one of their members cardigan things and she literally took it off and gave it to her. They always give us so much food too, and will spend the last of their money to buy us gifts. They are so amazing and I am so blessed to be able to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them every single day! The church is true!

Love you all and I hope you have the best week!!
