February 11, 2018: LICE! BAPTISMS! BLESSINGS!

Subject: LICE! BAPTISMS! BLESSINGS!
Don't worry, I don't have lice, but the other two Sisters in our house do and it has been a party washing all of our sheets, clothes, and scrubbing our house down. My comp and the other two Sisters have also been sick with all kids of viruses and flues, but I have yet to get sick this transfer! (knock on wood) We also got a message from our mission President that Dengue Fever has risen 300% in the last few months in Cambodia so we are layering on the bug spray!

This week was seriously so good. Cheng Ey is still on fire, and has the STRONGEST desire to be baptized. She has learned all the lessons in 3 weeks and will be baptized this Saturday if she passes her interview! We are seriously so excited for her. (pictures below)

Rotana was BAPTIZED!!!! We have been teaching her for almost 5 months now, and she finally had learned enough and prepared herself to be baptized and we could not be happier for her. Her baptism went so smooth, with no complications! It was a miracle! (picture below)

Today is exactly one year from the day I received my mission call and opened it, finding out I had been called to serve in the Cambodia Phnom Penh mission. Sometimes when members become my friend on Facebook, they like to show me the video of when I opened my mission call. I still get nervous every time, and remember exactly how I felt. I was horrified. I was so scared to be coming to a crazy Asian country, speaking an insane language, being literally on the other side of the world from my family. It has been so hard, but also the most rewarding decision I have ever made. I LOVE MY MISSION! When I reflect on this last year and all the craziness of preparing to serve, being in the MTC, and being in Cambodia for 5 1/2 months, I can see how much I have grown and all the blessings I have received. God is so good!

I love you all and hope you have the best week and Valentine's Day!
