January 28th, 2018: Love your self don't use drags

Subject: Love your self dont use drags
Hey everyone!

The header makes more sense if you look at my pictures, don't you just love Cambodia? Always trying to uplift us and give advice :)

This week went by so fast! We had Zone Conference on Saturday which was amazing, got two new investigators, and set two serious baptismal dates with our progressing investigators!! We are so excited for the blessings of hard work and the gospel changing lives to roll in. Our investigators are so good right now, the only problem is everyone is only free to learn after 5 or on Sundays, so you had best believe Sunday is the busiest day of the week! Currently, Rotana, Bong Thalin, and Cheng Ey are our investigators that will be baptized in the next few weeks so everyone get ready!

My language skills are improving every single day, and I feel less and less like this crazy Asian language is impossible to learn! It's the hardest puzzle I have ever had to solve but it is starting to get way more fun.

Sister Jennings and I are doing so great here in Stungmianchey and we are so close! Every day feels like an adventure and we are loving every second of being together. We may or may not have so much fun that we break our beds on accident (seen in picture below) and just decide to have slumber parties with our foam mats on the floor!

Cambodia is the best. Being a missionary is the best. The Gospel is the best. I love you all and hope you have the best week and find something to smile about!

 Email to Mom:

Hey so I just told this to Hannah but this morning I was personal studying about the temple. I read the talk "The Temple gives us Higher Vision" by Jean B Bingham in the January Liahona. It is so good. If you havent read it you have to read it. There is a small picture of the gilbert temple stained glass window in the celestial room on it and the song they share afterwards has the gilbert glass on the border and lowkey made me trunky. I am only trunky for two things ever, you guys and the temple. Yesterday, the ward I served in in Siem Reap left for a temple trip to the Hong Kong temple with 19 people. It is the first and probably only time these people will ever go to the temple. Some of them have been saving for YEARS, literally I saw the temple plans and for some people they have saved 25 cents every single day for 7 years to be able to go. I saw all the pictures of them before they left and I have never seen a group of cambodians look happier in their entire lives. They are coming back Saturday and will be doing as many sessions as possible before they go home. There are two families being sealed together and one of them was a family I was extremely close with. It makes me so happy that they have this opportunity and so grateful that we literally have a temple within 10 minutes of our house. I want you and the whole family to "set goals and make plans" (lol thats literally all we do on the mission and in PMG) to be able to go to the temple.  Tell all the kids that this is literally all I want. Derek is turning 12 this year (WHAT THE CRAP HES SO OLD I CANT EVEN HANDLE IT) and he needs to see how important the temple is for him and he would seriously love to go with all of his older siblings (especially carson). It kills me that I cant be there for the first time he goes to the temple or gets the priesthood or passes the sacrament but I know that I need to be here and everyone else has got to help him prepare for that. I love you go\uys so much and I dont want to sound preachy at all I just know that the temple is the greatest place on earth and I want the greatest people in my life to go there as much as possible. I LOVE YOU MOM
