May 27th, 2018: No Mass email today (Last day of school)

Hi! Hannah is done! Crazy that two of you have graduated, I don’t feel old enough for that. Graduation this year is at ASU, I can’t remember if I told you that yet.  I made candy leis for hannah and her friends; they’re ready to go.

We are busy with a new project. I’m not sure if it’s happening or not, but we are looking into turning our house into a group home. We will house 8-10 elderly people. I’m excited, I hope it works out. We may live in a new house when you come home. We want to downsize to a really nice house with a pool and VERY LITTLE yard maintenance. I’ll let you know how we progress with the group Home. We need to think of a name for the group home. We are hoping to expand and have 4 or 5 group homes.

How is your new companion working out. I’m sure you’re an amazing trainer. Tell me about her.

I love you!!!

Mom

May 20th, 2018

Hey everyone!

The last two weeks have been amazing!!

Two weeks ago two of our amazing investigators were baptized!! Ming On and Bong Srey Niang were both so happy and felt the spirit so strong at their baptism! It was the best to see them make the covenant to always follow their Savior Jesus Christ! AHHH I love being a missionary.

We got transfer calls that same night and..... I AM TRAINING!! I am a mom everyone! My kon(child) is Sister Um! She is Khmer and has been baptized for only 1 1/2 years. I picked her up Wednesday night after Transfers. She is so sweet! And I am a whole head taller than her! We are serving together in Keansvay, which means I will be here for 4 transfers after I finish training her! CRAZY! I also had to say goodbye to two of my favorite people in the whole world on Wednesday. Sister Mead and Sister Davidson lived with me my entire training and I can't believe they have already finished their missions! Literally went by so fast...

Also... DAVID A BEDNAR IS COMING TO CAMBODIA!!! He is coming tomorrow and speaking to all the missionaries for three hours in the morning and I am literally SO PUMPED!! It is going to be the best thing ever. and Wednesday is MY BIRTHDAY!! I will be 20 which kind of scares me to death even though I will still be one of the youngest people in the mission haha. And Thursday marks ONE YEAR ON THE MISSION YOOO. I seriously am still baffled that I have been a missionary for a year. I only have less than 7 months to go! Stay tuned for some way cool things happening this upcoming week!

Gospel Principle: Prophets

One of the greatest blessings of knowing about the restored gospel and being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is we know that we have a living prophet on the earth . We know that all the prophets prophecy and teach about Jesus Christ and His gospel. We know that he and his apostles receive revelation to guide Christ's church in these latter days. they reveal God's will for all His children on the earth . D&C 1:38 says: "What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether it is by mine one voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same." True to the Faith teaches us that, "your greatest safety lies in strictly following the word of the Lord given through His prophets, particularly the current President of the Church." I know that this is true and if we follow the teachings of the past prophets in the scriptures and our living prophets, specifically President Russell M. Nelson, we will be protected from the adversary and given so many blessings in our lives. I love and sustain President Nelson and his apostles.
